About me
Finding Inspiration at every turn
In 2016, I started a personal experiment: what would Pokémon look like if they existed in the real world?
Inspired by my lifelong fascination with wildlife, natural history and creature design, I began reimagining Pokémon as realistic animals, exploring their anatomy, evolution, behaviour and habitats as though they were genuine species waiting to be discovered.
My Story
What began as a passion project quickly grew into something much bigger. The first illustrations were shared online and captured the imagination of millions of people around the world, with Pokémon Zoology spreading across social media and gaining recognition from fans, artists and media outlets internationally.
The response showed that there was a shared curiosity behind the idea: the desire to see a beloved Pokemon world through the lens of science and natural history.
Over the years, Pokémon Zoology has evolved from a series of illustrations into a worldwide creative project, leading to collaborations and opportunities with some of the biggest names in entertainment and media, including Disney, Netflix, Meta, the Natural History Museum and Royal Mail.
Through these experiences, the project has continued to explore the space where imagination meets science, blending the wonder of fantasy creatures with the detail, storytelling and craftsmanship found in natural history illustration.
Every piece in the collection is created with the same original question that started it all: What if Pokémon were real?
